Synchronistic Photography

As a former scientist and engineer, I had a sudden awakening from deep materialism in 2012, while reading the book “Proof of Heaven” by Eben Alexander. The next couple years were spent rediscovering myself and the world around me and learning as much as I could from a variety of teachers. In 2014 I experienced my first out-of-body experiences, which are related in my “Astral Journal” entry. Then in 2015, I experienced an energetic awakening which opened me up to perceiving the world in a completely different way: from a random mechanistic universe existing on its own outside of myself, my world became a dreamlike place springing from the depths of my being, where coincidences weren’t just random and meaningless events, but meaningful synchronicities through which I could glimpse a wider reality and communicate with deeper levels of myself, with friends from this world, and with friends from other worlds. The story of this energetic awakening is related in detail in my entry “Love Beyond Spacetime”.

Until 2015 I was only taking occasional family and nature pictures with a pocket camera. At the same time as my energetic awakening started mid-2015, the synchronistic pictures started. It was completely unplanned: the first time it happened as I was standing on my driveway one night and taking pictures of the moon: when I looked at the pictures on my computer later, I noticed the following scene, which I titled “The Moon Looking At Herself”.

The Moon Looking At Herself

After that, it kept happening. I photographed many synchronistic cloud scenes. Here are a few examples captured in 2015 and 2016:

Bunny

Then a year later, synchronistic scenes weren’t just happening in clouds, there also started appearing in nature around me: flowers, trees, leaves, water, etc… Clearly, my world wasn’t random and meaningless any longer. Here are a few examples of scenes captured in 2017:

The White Bunny
Shadow Acrobat
Happy Milkweed Flower
Tree Rabbit

Then in the years that followed, I started capturing synchronistic scenes not only in nature, but in the fire in our fire place, in my crystal ball, in the mist of my essential oil diffuser, as well as in more mundane things like the surface of water in a plastic bottle, and food items in my kitchen. Basically, it was appearing everywhere.

Between 2015 and 2020, I have captured several hundreds such scenes. Often it is simply spontaneous fun, with all kinds of beings showing up to have their portrait taken. But some have a more direct meaning, related to on-going events in my life. It then becomes clear to me that there is a back-and-forth play between me and the Universe, within and without. Some of this play is illustrated in the entry “Love Beyond Spacetime”, and I am planning to add more entries that are illustrated with synchronistic photos. So stay tuned!
